Finally...

It's about time Terrell Owens began his semi-annual destruction of the teams that have garnered to his every whim. If you haven't read the story, chances are you've at least heard of it. If you spend most of your time picking salamanders out from under rocks followed by failed attempts at keeping them alive in a bowl, then here's the ESPN story: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3763209
So, here's the dilio, T.O. seems to think that because Jason Witten and Tony Romo room together, that they make up plays and gameplan.Really? So two professional football players who room together on the road ACTUALLY TALK ABOUT FOOTBALL!?!?! No way!
There's not much to write here, because we've heard it all before. T.O. is an asshole. He's one of the biggest assholes in all of sports and seems to know that he's an asshole and despite the fact that he knows he's an asshole he continues to promote his own assholism. Romo and Witten are both young talents that may be ruined by what is, at its core, just another selfish move by the most selfish player in NFL history.
Sure, we can say they should just play it off, but that defeats the purpose of having a TEAM. I'm not even going to bust out the stat sheet (Owens leads the league in dropped passes pretty much every year), because that's not the point. The point is that, at the end of this season, they need to get rid of T.O. He's a cancer who will only destroy what great young talent that Cowboys team has with his arrogance, his selfishness, and his assholeness.
Like I said, there isn't much to write that won't seem like it was just copied and pasted from articles involving how he killed the 49ers and the Eagles, two teams which have yet to recover from his cancerous antics. So there's not much use in wasting my time typing. Just go to www.terrellowens.com and see for yourself.
*note: I've heard diehard T.O. fans talk about how he's a victim of the media. No, he's not. He's a jerk who makes more money than he deserves and doesn't care about his team, only himself. The media doesn't make him say what he does. Also, for you T.O. fans, I've got news for you: T.O. would watch you get run over by a car while you're wearing his jersey and not think twice about it.

The Fiesta Bowl Blues

I'm tired of listening to Texas fans bitch about not being in the National Championship. Of course, what every fan refers back to is the imfamous head-to-head where they beat Oklahoma. Well, guess what, head-to-heads don't mean anything in college football. Do I like it? No. But, as on objectionist observer, those are the rules, and at the end of the day, Oklahoma has the better numbers and is undoubtedly the better team. Here is why Texas fans need to shut the f*ck up and go destroy Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl:

Two words: Texas Tech.

The main argument is that Texas should be in the Nat'l Title game because they beat Oklahoma and, because they beat Oklahoma and only have 1 loss. That's a valid argument, until you factor in the fact that Texas Tech beat YOU and THEY only have 1 loss, so by your logic they should be in the Nat'l Title game too. Hell, why don't we have every team with one loss come in and play a quarter or so, so everyone gets a slice? The fact is, you have a circumstance in the Big 12 with Texas Tech, Texas, and Oklahoma where they all beat each other, and this, though I don't necessarily like it, virtually nullifies the games they played against each other. Here's a visual representation:

Does anyone see the problem here? They all beat each other, therefore, essentially, the games they played are almost thrown out of the record book, leaving us to rely on the other remaning games, the wins, and yes, the quality of the wins.
I don't like it, don't get me wrong about this. I'm not just one of those Texas-haters, but at the same time I understand how the BCS works. The BCS sucks, but at the end of the day, it got it right. It's not only a good matchup, Oklahoma and Florida, but it's the BEST matchup. Let's face it, right now, those are the two best teams in the country. 7 weeks ago or whatever, things were different, Texas was the best team in the country. But it's not, now. Deal with it. The numbers don't lie, and the BCS computers (which uses 6 formulas) have crunched the numbers, and when the entire season is put together, the two best teams are playing. That's the beauty of the BCS, which is one of the few positive things about it: it makes damn sure that the WHOLE season counts. Every game, every snap, every play, and your opponents, from week 1 to week 13, are factored into the formula and when it's finished, the two statistically best teams are revealed, even if one lost to another in the regular reason, that doesn't really matter because it would nullify every other game played that year.
That's how the system works. What else do you want? A playoff? Yeah, I want one, too, but it's never going to happen as long as you idiots keep watching the god damn Meineke Car Care Bowl and all those other stupid games no one cares about. So, in the meantime, be happy with what you have, which is a January 8th matchup between the two best teams in the country.
*Note: Also, for all the Texas whiners who tell me I'm wrong, take a look at the other polls besides the BCS. The coaches poll, the media poll, the CBS Sports poll, they ALL have Oklahoma ranked above you...and that's without numbers or calculations, just off opinion. That means that they all agree with me. That means that the whole sports world outside Texas agrees with me. That means that the only people who seem to think you're right is, well, you. So shut the f*ck up, stop bitching, and go enjoy your Fiesta Bowl.
